It’s the work of NMC Professor Emeritus Paul Welch, who was the chair of the art department for 30 years. The work, “Face to face” was entered in Art Prize 2013, and is a 24 foot by 18 foot version of the original work that Welch completed in 2011. Britten Banner of Traverse City produced the banner, which will hang in the Welcome Center through May.
