Have you signed up to receive text messages from NMC in the event of an on-campus or weather related emergency or closing?
It’s easy to do. Log in to your Self Service account, and choose the Personal Information Menu. The last item on the list is a link for “Text Message Opt In.”

There you can enter your cell phone number to sign up.
The system will be used only in situations in which it is vital to give immediate notification and instructions to the campus community. The contact information provided will be kept confidential and not used for any other purpose. In order to minimize the out-of-pocket expense for NMC alert users, NMC will only issue emergency alert messages and limited test messages across this service.

If you, or your area, has information you’d like to get to students, you can submit it to the Public Relations and Marketing office at adolan@nmc.edu. Just like the Intercom, the Student News is updated daily, and appears on students’ myNMC page when they log in. We also send out an e-mail to all students to recap the headlines from the week, just like we do every Friday for the Intercom.
