There have been several communications regarding key “to do’s” and due dates for myPDCA – our tool for planning at the individual level. As FY’14 comes to a close, it’s also important for departments to conduct a year-end check of their FY’14 Operational Plan A3.
Year-end reviews offer an excellent opportunity to close out the year by “reflecting on last year’s activities” as well as recording “follow-up/unresolved issues” which will need to be addressed in FY’15. These are both sections included in the A3 template. It’s also wise to update key metrics for your department. Finally, as departments close out the year, this is a great time to review goals and activities that are planned for FY’15 to make sure they are fully informed by all that has been accomplished and learned in this current fiscal year.
If you find the need to make significant changes to your department Operational Plan A3 for FY’15, please discuss this with your President’s Council leader before settling on major changes. All FY’15 A3’s are available on the intranet located here. If you would like an updated version posted, please send them to kruedinger@nmc.edu as an email attachment or use the submission form on the intranet.
One final planning note, a small work-team has been formed to begin the initial work of developing the FY’16 strategic plan. This group is preparing for a July 1st work session by reviewing a Strategy Retreat Workbook. That workbook along with the revised planning assumptions are available on the ORPE intranet pages located here. Work will continue throughout the summer and will include a meeting of the full Leadership Group in late July.
