Hero and villain. Soul and body. Imagination and reality. Dichotomy. The theme of the 2014 Spring edition with inspiration taken from graphic novels and comics. By one definition, dichotomy is a division into two opposite groups. We are seeking submissions from all students, faculty, and staff that explore the multiple definitions of dichotomy, analyze the presence of dichotomy in everyday life, and challenge the acceptance of stereotypical dichotomies.
Submissions include essay, poetry, short story, artwork, and other fresh ideas. Design submissions will ideally incorporate the graphic novel or comic book muse as well. Submit in person or by e-mail. Bring hard copies to the Communications Office, Scholars Hall, Attn: Alissia Lingaur OR Humanities Office, Fine Arts Building, Attn: Caroline Schaefer-Hills. Email submissions to nmcmag@icloud.com. Be sure to attach the Submission Form found at www.nmc.edu/nmcmagazine/. Deadline for submissions is March 24th.
