Craig Mulder, Director of Information Technology Services, has been selected as the Fall 2013 NMC Employee of the Semester.  Craig has displayed the values of Northwestern Michigan College by performing two very high level jobs for three and a half years, doing an excellent job to save the college thousands of dollars. He was the Executive Director of Learning Resources and Technologies, responsible for the Library, Educational Media Technologies, Systems and LAN Management, and Information Technology Services.  He also took on the responsibilities of the Director of Information Technology Services, replacing that position with a less expensive Programmer position so the department had more resources to address our huge backlog of requests.

During the time Craig also served in the role of Director of Information Technology Systems, he did an excellent job of learning Banner in order to provide knowledgeable feedback and advice. Craig encouraged the staff to pursue professional development and share ideas to make the department of Information Technology Services (ITS) more effective.

The ITS staff needs to learn two new languages for the next version of Banner.  To prepare for that, Craig set up training for the staff and has encouraged us to apply our knowledge as soon as possible so the college can move to the newer and improved version of Banner more quickly. Thanks Craig for all your hard work at NMC!
