Are you an active member of MPSERS?  Do you even know if you are???

You are an active member of MPSERS (the state retirement system) if…..

  • You are an Adjunct Instructor, a Supplemental Employee, or a regular appointed staff or faculty member.
  • You were paid by NMC in the last 12 months and had contributions to MPSERS.
  • Your paycheck stub shows contributions to MPSERS and the MPSERS Healthcare Trust.
  • You are not currently a MPSERS retiree.
  • You are not a member of ORP (the Optional Retirement Plan with TIAA-CREF).

If you meet the criteria shown above, you will have to make a decision between 9/4 and 10/26 as to how you want your pension handled, your pension contributions handled, and your retirement health care account handled.  The only way you can make this decision will be through your online MiAccount.

  • If you already have a MiAccount, please be sure that you can access it – you may need to contact the retirement system to reset your password.   miAccount
