The following is FAQs for Open Enrollment.
Window is open November 13, 2015 to November 25, 2015
- Will NMC be changing insurance carriers in 2016?
- No, we will continue to use Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan for medical and dental; Eye Med for vision; and Cigna for life insurance and long term disability.
- What if I have to miss the Nov 13 open enrollment meetings?
- The first meeting of the day will be recorded and made available on the employee site for review. Information packets will be passed out at the meetings, and those that are not picked up, will be sent inner office mail on Monday, Nov 16.
- How will I access my Meritain Account to enroll in benefits?
- The information packets will provide you with instructions, and a reminder of your Meritain ID #.
- Additionally, Meritain representatives will be on campus on Wednesday, Nov 18 (8:30am-4:30pm) in UC 205 to assist with enrollment.
- Are their resources available on the employee website to review open enrollment information?
- Yes, as of November 13- employees can access information at the following link: https://employees.nmc.edu/depts/human-resources/open-enrollment/index.html
- If I don’t want to change anything do I need to do anything?
- Yes, you must actively enroll (by going into Meritian’s system) for 2016 to ensure that you receive the benefits you want.
