KUDOS to Emily Gourlay & Irina Grougan
The time before the start of each semester is incredibly busy for all in Enrollment Management & Student Services. For the Advising Center it is the time when see students with the most diverse needs. For two weeks of Express Advising, with some of the highest traffic we have seen, Emily and Irina worked tirelessly to triage each student need and make sure Advisors had the best information possible a bout the students. For some this meant being able to register for their very last class to earn an associate degree, for others this meant getting appropriate help in changing degree programs and saving the student from taking several unnecessary courses, for many it just meant asking the right questions to help the student understand what they needed to speak with an Advisor about. Both Emily and Irina exemplify professionalism, constant learning, and outstanding customer service in their roles.
