NMC Lifelong and Professional Learning classes are now open for enrollment at nmc.edu/ees. Classes will begin in January and continue through May 2023.
NMC’s Extended Educational Services offers a wide variety of in person classes, plus livestream and online courses. These accessible, flexible and high interest classes are taught by local experts on a range of topics including fitness, culinary, global, language, outdoor recreation, workforce and professional development and more. New this winter are baking masterclasses in partnership with the Great Lakes Culinary Institute as well as sewing, wine tasting, genealogy, small business management and classes under the umbrella of the Global Certificate program. For travel enthusiasts, explore farm to table operations around northern Michigan or immerse yourself in a food and wine tour of Italy!
Extended Education is re-launching its popular Northern Naturalist program in January. New classes have been added, including The Amazing Migration of Birds and Introduction to Medicinal Mushrooms.
The Friday morning livestream series, Coffee Chats, will also return for its fifth season on February 3, 2023, featuring new community guests and their stories.
