Kudos to Training Services and NMC partners Networks Northwest (COG), Michigan Works!, TBAISD, Traverse Connect (Chamber), MMTC, plus our co-hosting employers for the very successful Manufacturing Summit held at Hagerty Conference Center, this past November 5th. With over 27 employers from the manufacturing sector in attendance, this gathering was an opportunity to exchange ideas, prioritize next steps, and lay groundwork for an area Manufacturing Council to be chartered in January 2015.
Recently, when instructing a Physical Education class, Marcia Talicska quickly recognized the signs/symptoms of a student exhibiting physical distress. Marcia quickly consulted with another NMC professional and activated Emergency Medical Services call to provide advanced care and observation. Due to Marica’s prompt actions, the student was administered the proper care and attention needed and prevented a more serious medical emergency.
