Annual Dennos Museum Holiday Art Fair runs Oct. 25-27, with preview Oct. 24

The annual Dennos Museum Holiday Art Fair will be held Friday through Sunday, October 25–27, 2013, with a Thursday preview opening 5-8pm. Fine arts and crafts from 50 area artists, Christmas and Hanukkah gifts, and arts and crafts kits are just a few of the enticements for holiday shoppers. Hours will start with a preview opening Thursday, October 24, 5–8pm, and continue Friday and Saturday 10am–5pm, and Sunday 1–5pm. (more…)

Letters Home presented at the Dennos this Saturday at 8:00 p.m.

The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present Letters Home on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 8:00 PM in Milliken Auditorium. Tickets are $25 in advance, $28 at the door, $22 for Museum Members plus a $2 processing fee. NMC Soccer Club splits weekend matches

The NMC soccer club split a pair of matches this past weekend.  On Friday, the team traveled to Big Rapids and defeated Ferris State University soccer club 1-0.  On Sunday the team went on the road again and faced a tough Grand Valley State University soccer club, falling 5-0.   (more…)

Soccer Club has 3-game weekend sweep

NMC Soccer Club completed a 3-game weekend sweep by defeating Cornerstone University Reserves 3-1 on Saturday and defeating Lake Superior State University Soccer Club 2-1 and 4-3 on Sunday.  NMC Soccer Club travels to Ferris State University and Grand Valley State University this weekend to play against club teams from both schools. NMC Soccer Club to host two home matches this weekend

NMC Soccer Club hosts two home soccer matches this weekend.  On Saturday, October 5th, NMC plays Cornerstone University Reserves at 3:30 pm.  On Sunday, October 6th, plays Lake Superior State University Soccer Club at 11 am and 1:30 pm.  All matches are free to attend and played at the Coast Guard Soccer Complex at 1200 Access Rd, Traverse City.

The Virtual Tourist Eighth Wonder of the World contest is in the final stretch with September 30 the last day for voting.  Sleeping Bear Dunes is still in the top 25 of about 350 submissions so we would like to finish strong.  Please remember to vote and encourage your employees, friends, family and guests to vote too.   If you are involved with social media add this information as a post to get more people involved.   Remember, you can vote once per day!
