NMC will be welcoming a new student from Serbia this fall who will be living with a host family in Bellaire. The student is in need of transportation to and from main campus during the week to attend classes.

Mary VanderKolk, Health Occupations Instructor at Northwestern Michigan College, has been appointed to the Michigan Board of Nursing by Governor Rick Snyder.

NMC Upward Bound program not among those to receive federal TRIO grants
Northwestern Michigan College’s successful Upward Bound program, a part of the college for 20 years, was among 233 programs nationally that did not receive federal TRIO funding from the United States Department of Education in the most recent funding cycle. NMC’s Upward Bound program has provided various educational services for first generation, low income TCAPS and Suttons Bay 9th through 12th grade students and their parents.
