Diana Fairbanks joined NMC on September 24, 2014 as the Executive Director of Public Relations, Marketing and Communications. She replaces Andy Dolan, who left the position earlier in the year. Diana can be reached at (231) 995-1020 or dfairbanks@nmc.edu.
Diana is a familiar face to many after anchoring the news on 7&4 in Traverse City for 12 years. She and her family are excited to return to the area after two and a half years in Buffalo, NY where Diana was an evening news anchor at WIVB.
Diana has lived all across the country from California, to Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana and Missouri, but is very happy to be home in northern Michigan. Her husband Brian is a former sportscaster who made the transition into Public Relations. He works at Crystal Mountain Resort. They have a young, very energetic daughter.
Diana attended the University of Maryland where she was a Phi Beta Kappa scholar. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in American Literature and a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She has an affinity for maps and collects globes. In her spare time she likes to travel, run, ski, practice yoga, and spend time at the beach.
