It is with mixed emotions I want to share with you all that after more than thirty years of service at NMC, Deb Maison will be retiring from her Academic Advising position at the end of July.
Deb has been an invaluable member of the Advising team, worked as a personal counselor at NMC and provided her leadership during many transitions. She has been our rock and leaves incredibly big shoes to fill.
As she departs, Deb wanted to share a few words:
“They say you will know when it is time…
Whoever ‘they’ are…it appears ‘they’ are right and I have decided to retire. NMC has been like a part of my family for more than 30 years. I have so many friends here and have enjoyed working, playing, and just being with such dedicated and caring people. It is hard for me to leave. It’s been a great ride!
However, I am looking forward to having more time to spend with my family. Many of you know my mom passed in February. I am grateful I was able to spend extended time with her those last two months. My husband, Craig, and I will be learning how to be retirees as we see more of our children and grandchildren.
I will miss you all but look forward to returning to chat and catch up on the latest at NMC!
Take care. Deb”
We hope you can join us to wish Deb well on her new adventures as we gather on Tuesday, July 26 from 4–6 p.m. outside the Timothy J. Nelson Innovation Center (or in IC 106 if weather doesn’t permit).
Thank you, Deb!
