The 2104 Foundation Excellence Award recipients were honored on April 10th at the Retirement and Recognition Ceremony. Criteria for this esteemed award are:

  • Evidence of modeling NMC values in daily work. These values are caring, excellence, open-mindedness, service, and innovation.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the NMC mission.
  • Respects and empowers others.
  • Focuses on meeting student/client needs.
  • Exhibits commitment to continual improvement.
  • Demonstrates respect

The first recipient, Chris Ruszel, Assistant Controller, is an NMC professional who works largely behind the scenes. Not in a classroom, not main campus. But as we all know, attention to detail behind the scenes is critical for the public show to go on.

The second FEA was awarded to the My Academic Plan team of Carol Taberski, Lisa Krupp-Wilmeth, Eileen Vaughn, and Kim Schultz. My Academic Plan is an online auditing and advising tool that enables every degree-seeking student to get the information they need for completion, and to help advisors meet the target of connecting will all students each semester. My Academic Plan provides information and connection that allows a student to set forth confidently.

Congratulations to all honorees!
