NMC aviation students Marc Bedrosian, Robert Wangler, Aiden Buck and Abigail Smeltzer will be working with Blue Crane Development Agency to help set up a new airfield in Somerset East.

NMC nursing students Kristina Mason, Molly Morrison and Nicole Johnston will be teaching first aid and basic health care to primary school students there.

In addition to their work, students will have an opportunity to visit Addo Elephant National Park, Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope and tour Robben Island.

Steve Ursell, International Aviation Coordinator, Jean Rokos, Academic Chair of Health Occupations, and Laura Schmidt, Director of Nursing Programs will be meeting with representatives from Blue Crane Community Development Agency, and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University nursing schools to investigate further partnerships and international exchanges.
