Kudos to Carol Evans and Scott Herzberg, they received Certificates from A Matter of Honor, an organization that promotes awareness of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) among U.S. Veterans. Carol and Scott were honored for their work in support of veterans. Lt. Col Linda Fletcher (USA, Ret.), Executive Director of this group, presided over the ceremony which included several powerful testimonials. Congratulations Scott and Carol.
Kudos to Constanza Hazelwood, Jerry Achenbach, Ed Bailey, Hans Van Sumeren, and Aaron Cook for their presentations on the Plant Factory at the Water Studies Institute, Using Simulation to Train Maritime Professionals, and Unmanned Systems and Robotics in our Engineering Technology Program at the League of Innovation Conference last week. All presenters did a wonderful job and the sessions were well received. Thank you.
Kudos to Carol Taberski and Kim Schultz for their work on the MTA (Michigan Transfer Agreement Model) NMC is the only college in the State ready to implement the MTA (out 28 Community Colleges and 15 Public Universities). NMC MTA model will be used to testify to the State Legislature this week as a best practice.
