Dear all,
Northwestern Michigan College is committed to providing a campus environment free of the use of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol and drugs. As part of our Federal compliance and responsible citizenship at NMC, all employees must receive annual notification of our program and abide by NMC’s policies, procedures, and guidelines outlined below.
To that purpose, NMC’s Alcohol and Illicit Drugs Awareness Program is provided to:
- Clarify NMC Policies (D-505.08) and Procedures (D-744.01, D-744.02) regarding alcohol and drug abuse, including medical marijuana.
- Identify health risks.
- Provide resources for help if you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol or drug related problems or concerns.
Again this year, instead of sending out training to all employees, we are communicating by email. We hope you will find this information helpful.
We encourage you to complete this Alcohol & Drug Awareness Refresher training with an emphasis on vaping, the opioid crisis, marijuana and available resources.
Thank you for being responsible citizens of the NMC Community and for supporting a safe environment for our learners.
Your Human Resources staff is here to help if you have questions or need clarification on any of the information. Call or email Human Resources at (231) 995-1143 or lhodek@nmc.edu.
If you have questions or need assistance logging in or navigating the program, please contact the NMC Technology Help Desk at 995.3020 or email helpdesk@nmc.edu.
Thank you!
Mark
