Northern Michigan manufacturing is thriving and dependent on a strong local workforce. Find out more about high school and postsecondary education programs and careers in this important regional economic sector at the 2012 Technical Career & Job Fair set for 5-9 p.m. March 15 at the Parsons-Stulen Building on NMC’s Aero Park Campus.
Sponsored by NMC and the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District Career-Tech Center, students, parents and job-seekers from the community are invited to learn more about the state of manufacturing in the region and its growing need for skilled workers. Exhibitors will include Century, Inc., Cone Drive, Kelly Services, TranTek and more.
At 6:30 p.m. representatives from TBAISD Career-Tech Center and Cone Drive will host a presentation entitled “Manufacturing is Alive in Northern Michigan,” highlighting local manufacturing growth and the need for skilled workers. The evening will also include
