Dear NMC staff and faculty:
I am a student at Northwestern Michigan College taking a professional communications course with instructor Kristy McDonald. Our class is working to help community members with their employment search. We have created an event called Career Kickstart. This event will consist of career coaching, mock interviews, resume building and free professional clothing.
This year we will be bringing each campus office a container.* You will receive the container on March 14 and we will pick it up on March 27. We are asking you and your office staff to start your spring-cleaning early by bringing in donations of business type attire and accessories including:
- Women’s business jackets
- Men’s business jackets
- Business skirts
- Blouses
- Business shirts
- Business pants for men and women
- Business shoes
- Business accessories (ties, jewelry, purses)
Exciting news for the department that donates the most total items: win a free catered lunch for up to 15 people from Spaghetti Jim’s on April 17! We will cater the lunch to your office and clean the mess up after the lunch. We look forward to working with you to provide a Career Kickstart to our students and community members.
