The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College, in partnership with NMC Art Club, presents Sip & Sketch on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6pm to 8pm. NMC students and the public are invited into the galleries for drawing, socializing, and learning about art. Coffee and refreshments will be available in the classroom area outside of the galleries. One of the many student clubs at NMC, the mission of NMC Art Club is to foster and promote the spirit of art and creativity on campus and in the community.

Stools, clipboards, pencils, and 8.5 x 11” paper will be available for use. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own materials, limited to pencil, kneaded eraser (no shavings), and paper or sketchbook no larger than 11×14”.

NMC students receive free admission with student ID; Regular admission rates apply for the public: $6/adult; $4/child; free for members. Currently on exhibition: Gwen Marston: Contemporary Quilts; Making Paper Dance: The Art of Pop-Up Books; Andy Warhol Prints; and permanent collections in the Discovery Gallery, Inuit Gallery, Sculpture Court, and lobby areas.
