Kudos to the following people and departments!
Special “thanks” to Lisa Thomas, and the Student Life Office, for providing partial funding for this week’s Thanksgiving dinner in the cafeteria. Because of the partial funding, the meal cost was reduced by $2 for EVERYONE, making a special treat more affordable for anyone who wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving early. Great idea and a great gesture!
Albert Buchanan is a lifesaver for our evening classes. He is always available at a moment’s notice and really cares that faculty and students get what they need. The computer drive in my classroom has been on the fritz and Albert came in after my class to replace it so that I could be sure that all of my media would operate smoothly. This helped me and all of the faculty using this particular classroom. He also played many of my media items to make sure that the disks and computer worked together ahead of when I’d be using them. He knows my class, me and the material that well. I have seen him climb under desks, stand on ladders and do just about anything to make sure equipment is working. And he does this in all kinds of weather–unbearable heat to blizzards. Albert is another one of our quiet NMC giants.
Carol Kasper and the ENTIRE HR, go above and beyond for our department regularly. And we greatly appreciate it. Carol Kasper recently caught a mistake I made on my benefits enrollment, and brought it to my attention. I submitted my benefits last minute. And I commend her for catching and fixing a costly mistake. THANKS AGAIN!!
Jeff Sabins has been my partner in cleaning Health Science/Tanis Biederman for several years. I owe him several kudos. He has gone above and beyond countless times and his efforts are greatly appreciated.
Jim Gray has gone above and beyond a few times recently; offering to lend me a hand and it is greatly appreciated.
