Now that 2014 open enrollment is over, if you are changing to the High Deductible Health Plan and had a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for unreimbursed medical expenses during 2013, remember that you must use up all the funds in the FSA before you can start funding your Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2014. Gather up all your receipts and your Explanation of Benefit forms and send in anything to Priority Health to finish up your remaining FSA money. The form can be accessed at https://www.priorityhealth.com/member/handbook/~/media/documents/ceh/fsa-withdrawal-form.pdf.
If you do not know if you have a balance, call Priority Health at 800-956-1954 or look up your FSA on your Priority Health Member Center Account, located under the 2013 Claims section. If you cannot finish up all your FSA funds in December, then you and NMC cannot start putting funds into your HSA. If this is the case, please contact HR at 995-1025 to tell us we must put a delay on funding your account.
