Find out what was happening at NMC 25 and 50 years ago. 50 Years Ago:
- Leaders of various student groups on campus met to discuss planning the annual “fruitcake sale.” Proceeds were to go to the college building fund.
- Six students from NMC attended a seminar in East Lansing, meeting with other student representatives from community colleges all over Michigan. (see photo below)
25 Years Ago:
- United Press International Chief White House Correspondent Helen Thomas spoke on her views of the five presidents since John Kennedy and what the upcoming elections of 1988 will mean for the “future of America.” She spoke at the Oleson Center.
