Paul Meredith, originally from Grand Ledge, met Caroline Cheng, now his wife, while she was studying at MSU. “She was at a table carousing for Greenpeace and I was helping organize / perform for a Feed the World program!,” says Paul. Paul came to China as a UN aid worker. He is now a singer/songwriter teaching guitar in Shanghai and performing in several bands having introduced bluegrass music to many of the Chinese musicians he performs with there. Living in China as an expat for over 20 years, Paul has a unique perspective on the rapidly changing face of China in that time.
