50 Years Ago:

  • Alex Waugh, brother of noted British author Evelyn Waugh, spoke as part of the Celebrity Lecture Series.  In 1918 he was a prisoner of war and he spoke of his adventures in a German prison camp.
  • “Lou Seal” helped promote an exhibit of Inuit Art at the Osterlin Library.  (See photo)
  • NMC added to the faculty chemistry instructors Bob Rudd (1963-1997) and Adam Gahn (1963-2001).

25 Years Ago:

  • “Northwestern Michigan College officials hope to move a road and building to clear the view along Munson Avenue for the new art museum.”  Record-Eagle, 1-25-88.

10 Years Ago:

  • The “Old Freezer Building” blocking views of the Great Lakes Campus was torn down.
