Due to the ongoing shutdown of the federal government and subsequent furloughing of National Parks Service staff, the Dennos Museum Center must cancel the Sunday with a Ranger program on October 20, 2013. Depending on the future availability of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore staff, the program may be rescheduled at a later date.

Jason Dake, Curator of Education: “I appreciate the park staff’s dedicated work in developing the Sunday with a Ranger program in conjunction with our exhibition, Art of the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and hope that soon after the federal shutdown ends we can reschedule. Of course, families can still enjoy the museum’s exhibitions and programs not affected by the shutdown.”
