The Global Literature Reading Group will meet on Friday, November 15 from noon to 1:30 in the West Hall Conference Room to discuss this fall’s book, Rez Life, by David Treuer.  Bring your lunch or pick up a sandwich in the cafeteria and join us for a discussion of this account of modern Native American life.

Treuer grew up on the Leech Lake Reservation, a member of the member of the Ojibwe tribe of northern Minnesota.  His book offers insights into issues like sovereignty, treaty rights, casinos, and native language and culture.

For a copy of this book at the subsidized price of $5, contact Tina Ulrich in the library.
