TADL and NMC’s Osterlin Library collaborate to assist public navigate health care open enrollment period
Beginning October 1, the Traverse Area District Library (TADL) and Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) Osterlin Library will begin offering weekly health care enrollment orientation sessions at locations around the county.
During these sessions, library staff and volunteers will provide an overview of the Affordable Care Act requirements for individuals and businesses as well as a walk through Healthcare.gov, the government website the public can use to learn about different health insurance options and enroll in a plan.
Sessions will be offered at the Main (Woodmere) Branch of the Traverse Area District Library on October 1, 15 and 29 at noon in the McGuire Community Room. NMC will offer sessions on Saturday, October 5 and 19 at noon. Sessions will be limited to 14 on a first come, first serve basis. Those with their own wifi-enabled laptops and mobile devices are welcome to any session.
Additional sessions will be offered through the rest of the enrollment period that ends March 31, 2014. Please check www.tadl.org/events for future dates.
