The Fall 2013 Professional Communications class receives the honor of running Food for Thought Fill the Pantries: Food Drive Challenge for this upcoming semester. They will get to learn real life communication skills in a real life setting, and they also get to help the food insecurity problem within our community.

The food drive kicks off on October 15th and runs until November 15th so the group have time to load up their trucks and distribute the food to the local pantries in time for Thanksgiving. They will have numerous drop-off barrels around the NMC campuses for you to donate healthy, non-perishable food items in hopes that no one in our community has to go hungry this winter.

The team, lead by Teresa Nichols and Carl Smith, hope to surpass last year’s goal of 20,000 food items. Let’s make this year the biggest yet!
