“We brought the incredible performance of Rhythmic Circus’ Feet Don’t Fail Me Now! here in 2010” says Gene Jenneman, Executive Director of the Dennos Museum Center, “The production absolutely blew people away. In what I feel is a season of all great performances, if you can only see one, this is it!”

From its beginnings over five years ago at a small theatre in Northeast Minneapolis, Feet Don’t Fail Me Now has grown into an international sensation that’s been performed in over 90 cities worldwide, most recently a 6-week, 20 venue tour in China.

Rhythmic Circus features rapid-fire tap from four award-winning dancers, a one-man beat-box phenomenon and an infectious six-piece band that channels everything from funk to blues, and rock and roll to salsa. Called “Flat Out Amazing” by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Feet Don’t Fail Me Now is a show that excites, energizes and inspires at every turn. It presents a wildly creative view into the indomitable power of the human spirit that guarantees to leave even the biggest grump in the audience with a smile on their face. Its brilliance has been marked by rave reviews, sold-out engagements and numerous awards.

“We created Feet Don’t Fail Me Now out of the desire to get people back in touch with the spirit of celebration. The show helps remind our audiences that there is always a reason to get up, let go and dance,” said co-creator Nick Bowman. “The name of our show comes from an old New Orleans chant dating back to the early 1900’s when they literally had parades in the street every Sunday just to celebrate their lives and community. These people were rich – not necessarily financially, but with culture and spirit. Rhythmic Circus has adopted the chant as more of a rallying cry and have been ecstatic to see it strike a chord with people everywhere from our home town all the way across the globe.”

The presentation of Feet Don’t Fail Me now is supported by the Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes a great nation deserves great art, with additional contributions from General Mills Foundation, Land O’Lakes Foundation, and The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs
The 2013-2014 performance season at the Dennos Museum Center is made possible with support from the Robert T and Ruth Haidt Trust, and the Osterlin Performance Endowment with media support from WNMC 90.7,
