On Wednesday, October 16, 2013 the Michigan Global Awareness Consortium offers the first presentation of its 2013-14 academic year’s series. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Timothy Fitzgerald Young, who is the founder and president of Food for Thought. He also serves on the Foundation Board of NMC and was honored as NMC Alumni of The Year in 2012.
Please join us to hear Tim’s story of how his company has joined forces with others that have channeled their local food companies into agencies of change, supporting food justice issues around the world. Through their non-profit, On The Ground, they have used the mediums of music, film and direct action to dig wells in Mexico, build schools in Ethiopia and plant thousands of olive trees in Palestine.
