Copies of the Global Literature Reading Group book, Tears of Salt: A Doctor’s Story, by Pietro Bartolo, are available for purchase for $5 from Tina Ulrich in the library. There is also a copy on reserve. Bartolo is an Italian medical doctor in Lampadusa, an island in the Mediterranean, where thousands of people from the Middle East and Africa have sought refuge.
