The Technology Help Desk  https://my.nmc.edu/employees/ page has now expanded its support offerings to include chat.

If you just have a quick question, want to discuss something, or want to enter in a ticket with the Technology Help Desk, you can take advantage of the Chat offering, whenever, the green “Available” is present.

Once you click on “click here” (which is next to Available), you will have to enter your Issue, NMCID, and a description of your issue.  Then the request for Chat will go to a Help Desk Staff member to be answered.  Chat’s are responded to on a first come, first serve basis.

The Help Desk Staff will work with each user to solve their issue, transfer them to another department, or enter a ticket on their behalf.  If an issue requires more advanced troubleshooting, the Help Desk Staff also has the ability to view, upon request, a users machine.

In another week or so the chat option will be added to the https://my.nmc.edu/students/ page.
