Devin Hill, Adjunct Instructor – Construction Technology, has been selected as the NMC Employee of the Semester for Spring 2016. Devin has displayed the values of Northwestern Michigan College as described below.
Learning is at the center of all we strive to achieve: Devin is a tireless advocate for education through the programs at NMC and an invaluable asset to the Construction Technology Department. As an adjunct instructor, he constantly goes above and beyond to bring his students the best educational experience possible.
Each of us will strive to exceed expectations for quality and service in all that we do. We will continuously improve the learning experience…through innovation, agility and thoughtful risk-taking: During the spring 2016 semester, Devin’s accomplishments were heroic –
- He volunteered at the Home Builders Association (HBA) Home Expo at the Grand Traverse Resort;
- Built a shed for auction for the HBA Scholarship Dinner;
- Worked tirelessly to help organize and then present at NMC’s 3-day Building Tomorrow event held April 21-23;
- AND continued to teach 3 courses in Carpentry Technology for NMC students.
We will seek others who share our vision and values, and collaborate with them on behalf of our communities: In his daily routine of working for Windemuller Electric, and participating in numerous community groups and associations, Devin is constantly promoting NMC and the Construction Technology Programs.
For being selected as the Employee of the Semester, Devin will receive a framed certificate acknowledging his selection and a check for $150.
