Kudos- Praise or respect that you get because of something you have done or achieved. (defined by Merriam-Webster.com)
Kudos to the following people and departments! If you know of co-workers who are going above and beyond, nominate them for kudos here!
Kudos to Dave Sexton, Todd Haines, Dan Murphy and Maintenance Crew– When I arrived at West Hall to begin my shift last week I was greeted by brand new lighting in the western foyer. The specs and installation of the new lights made it impossible to tell where the old fixtures used to be. The foyer was left in spotless condition and the light provided made it easier for me to see my key for entry and made the approach safer, after dark. The style of the fixtures makes them easier to clean and also more energy efficient. Thanks to Todd and Dave for careful selection and installation of these fixtures! I also want to recognize Dan Murphy and any Maintenance crew who’ve done so much in recent months to update plumbing fixtures, etc. at the Fine Arts building. Such attention and skill add up to a more appealing and comfortable space for our students and staff. Thank You!
Kudos to Mary Jo Elliott – Her office is near mine. I continually overhear her working with students, always with an upbeat, “you can do it” attitude. Students obviously feel comfortable with Mary Jo and strive to do their best with her backing.
Additionally, whenever I come to my office on weekends, the ONE person here, always working, always preparing, always recording lectures, is Mary Jo.
Kudos to Kyle Morrison – Kyle Morrison’s audiovisual expertise is truly amazing. He has helped me with a few projects that are expert quality. He recorded a live Skype with a famous psychologist and edited it for me. He had multiple cameras and microphones to get the audience and our speaker both on camera. It is a treasure. He also created a video with advanced visual effects of the work of Vincent Van Gogh as a thank you gift for this same famous psychologist. The video is so professional that the famous psychologist is looking into getting it copyrighted to distribute widely. Kyle has also done a fabulous job with the active learning classrooms and is always there to help when we have a technical error.
