Friday Forums will occur one Friday each month through April. These forums are brought to you by the Center for Instructional Excellence which supports student learning by encouraging faculty-driven initiatives, promoting development of faculty knowledge, and recognizing the achievement of excellence. March’s Friday Forum will take place on Friday, April 10 from noon-1:30 p.m. in Founders Hall 110 and addresses the question: What’s new in learning at NMC? Lunch is provided, good conversation is guaranteed.

Please RSVP by Wednesday, April 8 to Rita Kucera at rkucera@nmc.edu.

Students in Jeff Straw’s competency-based programming class will share their story and their results: a custom game they collaboratively designed, built, and tested using modern application development techniques.
Tom Gordon will share his break through Perceptual Learning Module activity and will provide compelling evidence of learning success as well as access to the software.
Nick Roster, an Open Educational Resources trailblazer, will share his experiences implementing OER/boundless textbooks in his classroom.
