July 12th NMC will be marching down the parade route in the National Cherry Festival’s Cherry Royale Parade. The presentation will be led by Chip the faux buffalo from the NMC Barbecue. Following Chip will be a new dynamic of our entry: a float!
We will also be paying tribute to our military student population and NMC being recognized as one of the top military friendly colleges in the nation with several military students joining in as part of our entry. We welcome all faculty and staff members who are veterans to walk in the parade as part of the entry. If interested, please contact Scott Herzberg at 995-2526 or sherzberg@nmc.edu.
At the end of the parade we will have the ever popular brat truck which is staffed by the wonderful folks at the Hagerty Center who will hand out brats all the way down the parade route. Would you like to volunteer to help hand out brats from the brat truck? Call Kay Hall 995-1288 or email khall@nmc.edu if you would like to be a part of a great day!

It has been more than a month now since our very successful 59th annual NMC Barbecue. We had 500+ volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly and we thanked them this year with our first ever volunteer t-shirts! We have a small supply of t-shirts left over from the BBQ and would love to give them to anyone who volunteered and did not receive one on BBQ day. Stroll over to Les Biederman 104 to collect yours!
(Didn’t volunteer but would like a t-shirt? That’s fine!) (more…)
