A new initiative from the NMC Staff Task Force and President Nelson includes offering the all-day, new employee orientation bus tour to current employees. Mark was born in Indiana, but was raised and went to school in Traverse City. He graduated high school from Traverse City Senior High in 1989 and then went to NMC to acquire my Associates degree. From there he traveled to Big Rapids and went to School at Ferris State University and received a dual bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance in 1993-94. Once out of college Mark spent the next 21 years working for Oil Energy Corp a natural gas exploration company in Traverse City as a Staff Accountant. He was married to his wife Sarah in 1995 and they have two boys Matthew and Nathan. Mark love to bowl, watch football, and travel with his family. (more…)

Sarah grew up in Minnesota and Iowa, and received a BA in Family Science from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, then moved to Traverse City about 15 years ago. Over the last few years, she has held several positions, including Director of Education at Abba’s House, and Scheduler at Children’s Therapy Corner. Sarah enjoys fiber arts, and is one of the Michigan makers selling pieces at My Secret Stash in downtown Traverse City, and she also teaches piano at The Beat Lab. (more…)
