NaNoWriMo – NMC starts Nov. 3
More than 80 percent of Americans say writing a book is on their life bucket list. This November, give it a try by participating with your NMC colleagues in the 15th annual National Novel Writing Month– a worldwide effort to write a 50,000-word book in 30 days.

The annual Dennos Museum Holiday Art Fair will be held Friday through Sunday, October 25–27, 2013, with a Thursday preview opening 5-8pm. Fine arts and crafts from 50 area artists, Christmas and Hanukkah gifts, and arts and crafts kits are just a few of the enticements for holiday shoppers. Letters Home presented at the Dennos this Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present Letters Home on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 8:00 PM in Milliken Auditorium. Tickets are $25 in advance, $28 at the door, $22 for Museum Members plus a $2 processing fee. Town hall meeting today (Tuesday) at 4 pm
Join NMC President Tim Nelson today, Tuesday, October 22 at 4 p.m. in the Milliken Auditorium for an NMC Town Hall meeting. President Nelson will give a short update about things going on at the college and take your questions.

Sunday with a Ranger Program at Dennos Museum Center CANCELLED
Due to the ongoing shutdown of the federal government and subsequent furloughing of National Parks Service staff, the Dennos Museum Center must cancel the Sunday with a Ranger program on October 20, 2013. Depending on the future availability of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore staff, the program may be rescheduled at a later date. (more…)
