Four campus voter registration events set for September

National Voter Registration Day is Sept. 23 and NMC in conjunction with the League of Women Voters is offering multiple opportunities for students and staff to register to vote.

  • Sept. 23, 24, and 25 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Osterlin Library
  • Sept. 29 – Visit the Secretary of State’s  mobile branch office van, between the Osterlin Building and the Power House (west end of the Cedar Parking Lot) from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Participants at all events may sign up for TurboVote, an online tool that simplifies voting by mail and also offers text and e-mail reminders about upcoming elections.

October 6 is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 general election.

Parking enforcement starts Sept. 15

The Traverse City Parking Patrol will begin enforcing parking at NMC on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014.  All faculty/staff and students must have their new 2014-2015 permits displayed in the lower left hand side of their windshield by that date.  Please remove all expired NMC permits. Also, please note: These parking tickets are actual tickets. If you receive a parking ticket, do not just toss it on the ground or in the trash. They must be paid.

Payment can be made at the red drop off payment box at the east end of the Cedar lot in front of the Health and Science building. You can also mail the fine into the city. The information for payment will also be on the ticket.
