At ceremonies on April 27, the Northern Michigan Environmental Action Council awarded 2011-2012 Envirnmentalist of the Year in the Student Category to Grand Traverse Freshwater Society members:
Harry Dittrich, Chris Horvath, Jim Dauthrich, Fess Beier and Jayly Tarrish
All of these NMC students are enrolled in the Freshwater Studies Program. Harry Dittrich was the organizer and creator of the Grand Traverse Freshwater Society.
Have fun while supporting NMC! On Sunday, May 20, the NMC Barbecue will bring thousands of people to main campus to enjoy a generous picnic under the pines, continuous live entertainment, program displays, and games and activities for all ages.
