{"id":95205,"date":"2022-06-24T14:32:57","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T18:32:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=95205"},"modified":"2022-06-24T14:44:32","modified_gmt":"2022-06-24T18:44:32","slug":"marine-technology-program-faculty-and-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=95205","title":{"rendered":"Marine Technology Program Faculty and Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">This week\u2019s Hawk Owl Helpers and Heroes are the faculty and staff in NMC\u2019s Marine Technology program, who have deployed three <a href=\"https:\/\/spotters.sofarocean.com\/?user-filter=3164\">research buoys<\/a> so that they can collect data from different sections of Lake Michigan including East Bay that has not previously ever had any measurements taken.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Collecting this data provides students with experiential learning opportunities, actively engaging them through relevant and ongoing experience, while doing the important work of monitoring the Great Lakes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">NMC is the only school in the country that offers a Bachelor\u2019s in Marine Technology, and graduates have a 100% employment rate in the marine industry.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Who&#8217;s been a Hawk Owl Helper or Hero for you?
