\"Sunflowers\"The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present the exhibition Ann Loveless: Art Quilts <\/strong>August 31\u2013October 5, 2014.<\/p>\n

Ann Loveless<\/strong> is a Northern Michigan textile artist who captures the beauty of Northern Michigan in her art quilts. Working from photographs Ann creates realistic landscape scenes using any three of her quilting techniques she has developed. Most recently Ann was awarded first place in the 2013 Art Prize Competition with her four-paneled art quilt \u201cSleeping Bear Dune Lakeshore.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday, September 12, 2014 at 7 p.m. \u00a0in Milliken Auditorium, Loveless will present a program entitled An Artist\u2019s Journey \u2013 from Art Quilts to Art Prize<\/strong>. The program is being presented by the Dennos Museum Center and Jordan River Arts Council Rare Threads Project.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $8 for Dennos and Jordan River Arts Council members.<\/p>\n

This exhibition and program is presented in collaboration with Jordan River Arts Council and is made possible at the Dennos with support from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Robert T. and Ruth Haidt Hughes Memorial Endowment Fund.<\/p>\n

The Dennos Museum Center is open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $4 for children and free to museum members.
