NMC is co-sponsoring a statewide solar conference in a big partnership effort this fall called &#8211; Solar Powering Michigan, taking place on Friday, Sept. 12 at the Hagerty Center. Training will be in August and September to gear up for and in conjunction with the conference.\u00a0\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bringing People Together<\/strong><br \/>\nSolar Powering Michigan will engage utilities, policy makers, lenders, developers &amp; contractors, local governments, and training &amp; workforce development professionals to help them define opportunities in the solar market and access resources and networks to advance projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Grow Solar in Michigan<\/strong><br \/>\nTopics covered at the conference include project finance, shared solar, PACE programs, state and utility programs, permitting and interconnection, Michigan Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS), storage and demand response, third party ownership, local market development and workforce training.<\/p>\n<p>For more info on the conference contact Elizabeth of MidWest Renewable Energy Association at (414) 431-2830 or elizabethh@midwestrenew.org.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Solar Powering Michigan Pre-Conference Training Schedule<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\nBe sure to get the training you need from the Midwest leaders in solar training.
