{"id":79096,"date":"2022-01-10T18:03:38","date_gmt":"2022-01-10T23:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=79096"},"modified":"2022-01-10T18:08:30","modified_gmt":"2022-01-10T23:08:30","slug":"call-for-retirements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=79096","title":{"rendered":"Call For Retirements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear all,<\/p>\n<p>If you are planning to\u00a0retire\u00a0between\u00a0now\u00a0and June 30, 2022, we ask that you provide notification in writing\u00a0by\u00a0<strong><em>Friday,\u00a0January 28<\/em>,<\/strong> using the\u00a0<a title=\"Login required (link opens new window)\" href=\"https:\/\/employees.nmc.edu\/forms\/human-resources\/exit-forms\/resignation-retirement-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><em>Resignation\/Retirement\u00a0Notification Form<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This will give your supervisor, President&#8217;s Council, and Planning and Budget Council the opportunity to establish priorities for the coming year in a timely manner.\u00a0 It will also allow us ample time to assist you with your\u00a0retirement\u00a0preparation (application to\u00a0MPSERS, etc.).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We would also like\u00a0<strong>unofficial estimates of potential retirements\u00a0<\/strong><strong>between now and\u00a0June 30, 2026<\/strong>. If you are willing to share your estimates with us we will use it for planning purposes.\u00a0This will help us work toward long-term, pro-active planning.\u00a0 You don&#8217;t need to use the form attached for this purpose, a return e-mail with your &#8220;best guess&#8221; will be sufficient. You will not receive an acceptance or be held to your estimate in any way. You will, however, receive our gratitude in HR for helping us with this planning.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, requests for reduced contracts\/schedules may also be made, either in conjunction with\u00a0retirement\u00a0or not.\u00a0 Please read over the\u00a0newly revised\u00a0policy and procedure covering\u00a0Flexible Work Options\u00a0for details.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/policies\/board-staff\/D-757.00.html\">http:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/policies\/board-staff\/D-757.00.html<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/policies\/board-staff\/D-757.01.html\">http:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/policies\/board-staff\/D-757.01.html<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These requests are voluntary, and approval will be based on the needs of the area.\u00a0 Please treat this decision seriously and consider possible implications to your salary, benefits, and\u00a0retirement\u00a0before requesting a reduced contract.<\/p>\n<p>Feel free to call either Hollie\u00a0DeWalt\u00a0(5-1350) or myself (5-1342)\u00a0if you have any\u00a0questions.
