As part of International Education Week<\/a>, the Go Global Fair and Expo<\/a> will be held at the Dennos Museum and Scholars Hall on Saturday, Nov. 16. It will include food, displays, breakout sessions, musical performances and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day includes a variety of great breakout sessions including:<\/p>\n

Cinema Beyond Borders: Sentient Stories From Afar,\u00a0<\/b>by Deb Lake, Executive Director of the Traverse City Film Festival, at noon, in Scholars Hall 105.<\/em>
\n In 2014, the Traverse City Film Festival will celebrate its 10th year of\u00a0bringing films and filmmakers from all over the globe to Traverse City,\u00a0allowing audiences and directors to connect, feel, and share stories told\u00a0on the big screen. Great foreign movies allow us to walk in the shoes of\u00a0people from distant lands; they open our eyes and can even change our\u00a0lives. Watching a great international film on a big screen with an\u00a0audience of film lovers is Going Global in a very real, big, and immediate\u00a0sense. Lake will share stories about some of the most powerful\u00a0international movie experiences the TCFF has seen in its history, and the\u00a0many ways in which foreign films allow us to explore our world.<\/em><\/p>\n

Here’s a listing of all of the sessions, and times for the TCAPS music performances in the Milliken Auditorium.<\/p>\n
