{"id":64061,"date":"2021-04-22T16:49:31","date_gmt":"2021-04-22T20:49:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=64061"},"modified":"2021-04-22T16:49:31","modified_gmt":"2021-04-22T20:49:31","slug":"safe-routes-to-school-project-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=64061","title":{"rendered":"Safe Routes to School project update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traversecitymi.gov\/news.asp?aid=810\">Safe Routes to School project<\/a>, the City of Traverse City and Elmer\u2019s Crane and Dozer will be constructing new sidewalks on the following street segments on and around NMC&#8217;s main campus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u2022 North side of Eastern Ave. between Milliken Dr. and Eastwood Ave.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 North side of College Drive between E. Front St. and the west side of NMC\u2019s Cherry parking lot.<\/li>\n<li>\u2022 East side of Fair St. between E. Eighth St. and E. Front St. including sidewalk ramp construction\/replacement at the Fair St. and Titus Ave. intersection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The work is expected to start shortly and be substantially complete by June 4, 2021. Street segments will remain open to traffic with shoulder closures and\/or traffic regulators, but expect some delays.
