NMC Soccer Club: 0 \u00a0– Cornerstone University Reserves: 1 (Grand Rapids, Michigan)<\/p>\n

After a 0-0 first half, CU scored on a long range shot early in the second half.\u00a0 NMC had goal scoring opportunities by Paul Bump, Charlie Needham, and Justin Jensen, but it was Marco Martinez’s shot that almost tied the game with less then 10 minutes remaining.\u00a0\u00a0 The shot hit the inside of the post and deflected in front of the goal, but never crossed the goal line.\u00a0 NMC played a\u00a0solid defensive rotation with JJ Briethaupt, Alec Altonen, Dan Parish, Zac Squires, Logan Pachesny, Cole DeMouplied and Dan Parish. Mitch Gribi was in goal for NMC.<\/p>\n

Next match is September 22nd at Northwood University Reserves in Midland, Michigan.<\/p>\n
