{"id":5902,"date":"2013-09-06T11:03:38","date_gmt":"2013-09-06T15:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=5902"},"modified":"2013-09-06T12:05:20","modified_gmt":"2013-09-06T16:05:20","slug":"nmc-to-hold-8th-annual-mike-mcintosh-memorial-truck-car-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nmc.edu\/?p=5902","title":{"rendered":"NMC to hold 8th Annual Mike McIntosh Memorial Truck &#038; Car Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A September tradition at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmc.edu\/about\/maps\/index.html\">NMC\u2019s Automotive Service Technology Building on Aero Park Drive<\/a>, the memorial show is named for the late NMC Automotive instructor Mike McIntosh, who retired in 2004 after 34 years of service. McIntosh organized the first car show for the Automotive Program in 2004.<\/p>\n<p>Owners are invited to enter their classic cars, 4X4s, dragsters, sports cars, modified late models, motorcycles and more. There is a $10 entry fee per vehicle. Trophies are awarded for best of show in each class. Admission is free and the public is invited for food, a silent auction \u2014 including program vehicles \u2014 and door prizes for entrants. Proceeds benefit NMC\u2019s Automotive Program. Sponsors include Canteen Services.<\/p>\n<p>Student projects and vehicles will be displayed in the Automotive Technology facility.
